The color is super fun and that's at least half the reason I bought it. I got the "Skyscrapers" variant which has purple swirls and white splatters on black.

Personal Thoughts

I got this album because it was on sale when Needlejuice was moving offices. I knew my pal Luma liked desert sands feel warm at night so I figured I'd give it a shot while it was on sale and ended up enjoying it. It's nice and relaxing for listening to while doing other things, and I usually just listen to the whole album straight through, so I don't always notice where one track ends and another begins. The ambient nature noises in the backgroudn are very peaceful, and it's kind of funny how much it doesn't feel like a furturistic city album that you'd expect from the cover art. "Solace" reminds me a lot of the Earth Rhythms CD I would listen to to fall asleep as a kid. "谁?" has some nice sparkly noises. I don't know how to describe "Constellations" but the consistent repeating beat throughout it feels like the heart of the album. "Broken" feels empty compared to the other songs, especially in its intro, but it warms up when the melody enters, as soft and simple as it is. The repetitive background noise in it makes me think of someone sanding a log for some reason, even though it's probably more like a tide. The whispering noises on "µ" are disconcerting in an awesome way. "Tomorrow, 2096" is a very nice track to end on though I'm not sure what else to say about it.

That was a lot more than I expected to write about this album. All of that was pretty much on the fly while listening and actually paying attention this time. I should do this with instrumental albums more often.
