Vinyl Details

This one's a two-disc and they're both a black and white split. Kind of an interesting choice for Gold and Silver music. It almost looks like a pokeball, or maybe like an Unown, with the way the center looks like an eye. But if it was really trying to evoke Unown it might've been better as just a pure black vinyl. Anyway, they do look nice.

Personal Thoughts

Pokemon Gold was my first ever handheld video game and my first Pokemon game, so the music of Gold and Silver will always be iconic to me. Braxton's arrangements definitely do every track justice. The fact that they included Lugia's Song too was awesome, one of the anime moments to ever, Lugia Song you will always be famous.

There's a good mix of both field and battle tracks on this album, and they're all good, but I'm more of a field music guy myself. The towns and the surf theme are some of my favorites, but of course, my all time favorite has to be National Park. Who doesn't love the National Park theme? I listen to it and my blood pressure immediately starts to go down.

For a lot of vinyl releases of long instrumental albums, you'll see them not include every track on the vinyl. I'm really glad they didn't do that here - it really does feel like you're going on a journey as you listen to every song in a row.

Favorite Track: National Park
