Vinyl Details

This one came in a few different black and white variants; unfortunately, the prettiest one dropped after I had already pre-ordered this one (I got the "Abstracting Pattern" variant; the other is "Monster Party"). Not really a big deal though, it's still nice. The only issue I have with the vinyl as a whole is there's no way of telling which side is side A and which is side B, so it's a gamble every time I play it. Since all the tracks are so good though, that's also not even a big deal.

The Needlejuice variants came with a poster, which is pretty neat. I have yet to hang it up anywhere. Maybe the other distributors' variants came with it too, but I'm not sure.

Personal Thoughts

Very very fun album. Not a ton of tracks that I play individually, but as a whole album, it flows together really well and most of the tracks have similar energies, making it a good one to put on in the background. I ended up looping it a ton of times right after I got it.

"Turn the Lights Off" always reminds me of Undertale, especially after watching this great animatic:

Other tracks are great too, but most of them blend together for me, so I don't remember them all individually. "You turn away and around / I've been coming down" always gets stuck in my head. One thing I've noticed about Tally Hall songs is that they'll have one or two sections in a track that don't match the rest of melody, and these parts that stick out always slap.

While I have less to say about this album than Marvin's, I tend to like it better. Just a good solid album.
