Onkle Wackelflugel

Medium: Transfer paper and acrylic on convas

This might have actually been a different type of paint, I'm not 100% sure. Gauche? Hard to tell. Anyway, "Onkle Wackelflugel" (Uncle Wiggly Wings) was Gail Halvorsen, also known as the Berlin Candy Bomber during the years after World War II. I was taking German in high school at the time I did this art and we'd been talking about him, but that was like ten years ago now and I don't recall all of the details. He dropped chocolate to West Berlin during a blockade, I believe.
